Assembly

Sauna’s importance as a health remedy

Installation

We have been selling and installing all types of wooden houses and sheds for over 20 years.

What to pay attention to?

Larger products come in more than one package. Please make sure that all packages have been delivered (each package has its own identification number, and the total number of packages and product name are clearly stated on the delivery note).

When opening the packages, check that all parts and dimensions match the packing list included with the product. The product page also shows the dimensions and quantities of all house components.

It’s also important to check that no parts are damaged or defective — inspecting everything before you start assembling will save you a lot of trouble later.

We always strive to deliver our products in perfect condition and in line with their technical specifications. However, in rare cases, some parts may get damaged (the most common issues are broken wooden components, cracked window or door glass, or manufacturing defects). If this happens, please contact us and we will send you replacement parts — see also our “Terms of Sale”.

Once you’ve verified that all components are present and undamaged, place them on a clean, dry surface to avoid staining the wood — untreated wood is difficult to clean afterward.

After checking all the parts, you can begin assembling your garden house. To ensure a smooth process, make sure you have all the necessary tools, which will make assembly much easier.

Tools and materials needed:

  • work gloves;
  • utility knife;
  • measuring tape;
  • spirit level;
  • drill;
  • hammer;
  • rubber mallet;
  • ladder;
  • screwdriver.

Foundation

Building a garden house starts with preparing the foundation. The type of foundation depends on the soil and the size of the house. For smaller garden houses and sheds, a log foot kit or blocks placed on a gravel and sand bed are usually sufficient. For medium or large garden houses and sauna houses, we recommend a post foundation or a poured concrete base. Only a solid, level, and stable foundation ensures a flawless final result.

Next, carefully read through the assembly manual and make sure you understand each step before starting.

Assembling the base frame

Assembly begins with installing the foundation beams. Start by screwing together the outer foundation beams, then check that the dimensions match the house plan and that both diagonals are equal. Ensure that the frame is level. To level the beams, pieces of roofing felt work well — they also lift the frame a few centimeters above the foundation, ensuring good air circulation underneath the house, which prevents moisture buildup and extends the lifespan of the structure. Then, screw together the entire foundation frame according to the house plan.

Building the walls

After positioning the foundation frame, install the first row of wall planks, which is the “half” row. Attach this first row of planks to the foundation beams with screws, pre-drilling the holes. A perfectly leveled foundation frame and first row of wall planks are extremely important, as the success of the entire assembly process depends on them.

The following rows of planks are stacked without screws or nails. Press each new row firmly into the one below — use a mallet if necessary. Avoid striking the tongue and groove directly with a metal hammer; use a wooden block or rubber mallet instead.

After the fifth or sixth row, check the corners and diagonals again. The corners must be 90 degrees, and both diagonals should be equal. Continue building the walls row by row.

Installing windows and doors

When installing a window or door, make sure it is level and that the frame boards remain straight. Mounting points are usually pre-drilled at the factory. Attach the outer trims to the window, place the window in the opening, and secure the inner trims with screws. Screw the trims into the window fr
